The embodiment of feminity

The self-employed artist Monika Bittner, born in 1948, started to engage in painting and sculpting in 1988, when she took classes from Jannes Buchweitz. From 1998 on, Monika Bittner worked as a tutor at Volkshochschule Heidekreis in Walsrode, Soltau and Schwarmstedt as well as in Cuxhaven and gave classes in different painting techniques. She also taught private classes for which she often used her own studio. Mrs. Bittner is an artist in the SFArte network since 2004 and has held numerous exhibitions in different places with her course participants. She also co-designed the post stamp for the 140th birthday of the German writer Hermann Löns. A central feature of Monika Bittner's art is the illustration of women. The female figures are painted in predominantly muted, shady colors and represent feelings that move women in the innermost of their soul. Monika Bittner lives with her partner and pets in Buchholz an der Aller since 1999.
